I am extremely picky when it comes to Texas BBQ, and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint me. The Briscket was cooked to perfection! Perfect bark and tender when you bight it. So soft that i was cutting it with a spoon. The sausage was smoked to perfection, not too hard on the outside and juicy in the inside. Will definitely come back again.
The brisket and bbq here is perfectly cooked. They are very kind people who work there. It's a small place and looks discreet but it packs a punch as far as flavor and experience. The feel is very "quaint and country". Loved stopping in here when on our way through town.
We always want to stop at Smitty's when going through Jasper. Coming from visiting our parents in Louisiana. Food is consistently good. We love the sausage. Restaurant is always clean and staff is always promptly waiting on you. Would definitely continue to go. And recommend you to do the same! Wish there was one in Houston for us to frequent more often.
Was greeted with a warm welcome and wonderful music. Ordered turkey and ribs. The food is excellent!!!! Been to many bbq places and this is one of the best. Place is clean and organized. Love the decorations. Nice and cozy. Just feel comfortable here

This place has a firm sense of identity and great food. They gave me one single type of barbecue sauce - they know what they're about and don't need to overcompensate by offering 10 types. The ribs were excellent flavor and texture and were a good value.
When I go here I always get the ribs and they never let me down!! I also get the same sides and as you can see they give you a lot! Such a comfort food!! The ladies that work there, always have a smile on their faces and are very polite!! This is my favorite restaurant in town!! Who don’t love a southern dish?!?!! The prices are a bit high but for what you’re getting g I think it’s worth it!!!! Let me know what you think the next time you visit!!
Excellent bbq at a fair price. Will definitely return. Turkey, ribs. Beef was all excellent along with their sides. Great location too.
